My Goal
What I love about AI is that it is a useful and fun tool that can help bring your vision to life, but as a newbie, how do you know where to get started? It can be daunting when you’re new and you don’t know where to go or how to get information, especially if you’re not a part of any communities.
I created this blog/space in order to not only showcase my own creations and make new friends in the AI community, but to be a space where newcomers can get help and information on how to get started with AI.
I truly want everyone to be able to explore these fun new tools and create the things they have always dreamt of — with AI, your imagination is truly the limit. So go out there and make the thing!!
One Stop Shop for AI Resources — Web Edition
I was thinking on what I could add here that would be useful to people just getting started with AI, or those who want to start but don’t know how. I realized that most guides and information is very scattered in the community, so I wanted to create a “one stop shop” for starting your own AI journey.
I’ll also talk a little about what freebies you can get from each place as I am pretty big on saving money; you’ll be happy to know that you can absolutely do so much with AI without spending a penny.
Knowledge is invaluable, and I’m happy to share what I know with others. I hope it will be useful!
Below you will find a list of great AI resources on the web where you can make your own stuff. I’ll do another one for local generation and probably some other things too, and I’ll eventually make a masterlist with links to everything once I decide how I will sort everything to make it pretty.
There are tons of AI sites out there these days, but I will only include ones that I have actually used and can verify are good. I’ll update the list periodically of course — there are always fun new things to try!
But this should be a good place for you to get started.
Video Generation (Official)
https://www.vidu.com/ — Vidu was my very first video generation site and I really like it. It’s great for anime and I’ve seen people make cool realistic stuff too. They’re always updating and the community is friendly.
They have a Discord too which I highly recommend as there is even a bot on there where you can make a few free generations every day! The Q2 model is amazing and I’ve heard that a new reference to video model is coming before the end of 2025.
https://app.klingai.com/global/ — If you’ve not heard of Kling, I’m happy to be the first to inform you of its existence. They’re widely regarded as one of the best video generators out there and for good reason; the videos are truly impressive! The site also offers a free trial every month!
https://create.wan.video/explore — Wan is an open source model (meaning you can also download and run it on your PC, but that is more advanced and we’re just talking about web stuff here but I will cover this in a separate post) and shouldn’t be underestimated.
Wan 2.5 came out in September 2025 and while I personally haven’t had the time to try it out yet, Wan 2.2 and 2.1 were amazing so I expect Wan 2.5 to impress as well. Their website allows you to generate for free and offers tons of awesome options including video-2-video which is a blast.
https://sora.chatgpt.com/explore — Sora 2’s release has absolutely changed video generation, and even though it’s invite-only via code for now, you might have luck snagging a code in OpenAI’s official Discord channel, where they have a dedicated place to share invite codes! Everyone who gets in can invite 4 people too, so once you’re in you can bring your friends.
https://grok.com/imagine — Grok Imagine 0.9 is no slouch! Since it released around the same time as the Sora app/Sora 2 it was overshadowed by the hype, but since having tried it myself I was blown away by how awesome it is.
You need a starter image to use it as of writing this, but I’ve heard it will support text 2 video soon as well. Either way, if you need an image, Grok can do that too; otherwise, bring your own and have fun with it! Free users seem to get around ~10 videos a day in my experience.
Google’s Veo 3 (Fast). There are a few places where Google allows you some free generations, the first being https://labs.google/flow/about — every month you get 100 free credits, which is enough for 5 Veo 3 Fast videos. A great bargain (who can resist the price of FREE?) if you’re looking to test!
The other way to try out Veo 3 (Fast) for free is to sign up on https://opal.withgoogle.com/landing/ and make your own little video generator app. It’s not too hard; just ask the AI to make a simple video generator that requires a text prompt and/or an image.
Opal is really unknown and I’ve found it to be very very helpful and fun. You can essentially vibe code without the “coding” part and make mini apps just using natural language. Try it out, you can even share what you make with friends!
These are not the only places to generate videos, I will talk about more below. These are just what I see as “official” sources for video generation… but rest assured, we still have a ton to cover!
Image Generation
https://civitai.green/ — Civit is by far my favorite image generation site, and they offer so much more than that. I won’t get too into the details now as I could write a whole blog about its features — which I will one day but not here.
It’s a little difficult to get the hang of at first as there is a lot going on, but you can do pretty much anything on here with the site’s currency called Buzz. You can buy Buzz, but you can also earn it just by being active on the site. I’ll do a deep dive into all things Civit before the end of the year. This is a good one to start once you’re a little more savvy or if you’re just feeling adventurous and want to see what you can do.
WARNING: I have linked the safe version of the site, the official site (without the green) contains a lot of adult material, and I highly advise that you activate content filters if you’re going to go to the main website. This can be done by clicking on the little icon that looks like an eye with an exclamation point on the bar in the top right of the screen.
https://aistudio.google.com/ — This place is an amazing all-in-one; there are so many resources here it’s mind-blowing how much you can get for free. Just start a new chat with the model named “Nano Banana” and you have opened up a world of image magic.
You can use text prompts to get images, or you can upload images to edit or use as references to make new ones. I will make a more in-depth blog about Google AI Studio another time, since there’s a lot to cover!
https://grok.com/imagine — Yup, it’s Grok again, you’ll see it (and AI studio) again in the next section as well. You can make a lot of nice images on here, and then easily turn them into videos! It’s also uncensored.
https://www.bing.com/images/create — Do you know Bing? I didn’t know it could also generate images until fairly recently. You can choose between DALLE-3 or GPT-4o to make images in batches or singles, respectively. It’s free so it can be great if you’re trying to get a quick idea.
https://getimg.ai/image-generator — I used this place a lot when I was just getting into AI. I can’t speak for how good it is now, but I had a good experience when I tried it; it’s pretty newbie friendly so I think it’s worth a try.
Looking at it now it seems they’ve added a LOT of new features (including video generation!!) but a lot of it is for paid subs only.
After a quick check it seems like free users have access to Flux, Qwen Image and Seedream — these are all great models, especially Seedream which is quite new. Definitely worth a look!
Honorable Mention: https://www.midjourney.com/ — It’s an honorable mention because it’s really popular, but I think you can’t use it unless you pay. I personally have not used this one, but even so I felt it was worth a mention because it’s a name you hear a lot in AI world. I however cannot offer my opinion on it, but many others say it is very good.
Text Generation
https://aistudio.google.com/ — My favorite right now. Gemini is just so fun to talk to and it’s very smart. The long context is great too, although it starts to slow down and get a bit derpy around the 300k token mark. You get a ton of usage out of this for free every day, and it’s just great for so many things like brainstorming, storyboarding or just chatting.
https://grok.com/ and https://x.com/i/grok — You can use Grok for free a bit every day both on X and the Grok website, it’s awesome. What I like about Grok is that it’s got a bit of a cheeky personality.
The main draw of Grok for me though is that it feels really knowledgeable in that if you ask it something, it’ll do a search online and give you sources.
The “Expert” mode has been invaluable for me personally; I suggest talking to Grok if you’re looking for advice on real life struggles, it may be able to give you information you would have trouble finding on your own.
https://chatgpt.com/ — While I don’t personally use it that much, I can’t avoid naming the OG, can I? ChatGPT is still a great resource, though it’s a little too sanitized for my liking. It can make you a few images for free every day though, which is really cool! Remember the wave of Ghibli AI art on X? Yeah, that was from ChatGPT!
https://gemini.google.com/app — I don’t use this one so much but Gemini is Gemini. I’m not sure how much usage you get per day, but this one has a super fun app called Storybook which allows you to generate short storybooks (I think they’re voiced too!) and it’s worth using for that alone IMO, even though you can only make a few for free every day I think. Check it out, it’s adorable.
https://openrouter.ai/ — I know people mainly use this for APIs but it does have a chat mode, and you can choose from so many different free models to test out. One day I’ll make a proper blog about OpenRouter and how to use APIs, but for now, it’s just another resource to try.
https://copilot.microsoft.com/ — I’ve only used this one a little bit, but I have a family member who uses it a lot. He says it’s really useful and has a nice personality! It seems it can also generate images as well, so it’s another good place to start out.
Voice Generation
https://www.minimax.io/audio/text-to-speech — Minimax offers so much for free: 3 voice clones and 10,000 credits per month to generate voice clips. It is my favorite and I always use it for my projects. Really easy to use and a simple interface so you don’t get lost or confused.
https://elevenlabs.io/ — The big guy. I used this long ago, maybe over a year ago, so my knowledge is outdated. I think elevenlabs is very good, though you have to pay to get the most out of it.
The voices it makes are top notch, so maybe you’ll want to subscribe in the future if voice generation is something you are really interested in.
You can try a little bit for free though, and I think the cheapest paid plan is like $5, so it’s not too steep if you just wanna give it a test run.
Music Generation
https://suno.com/home — The absolute king in my book; I’ve been using Suno for over a year, and it has consistently been improving and adding new features. The songs it generates sound so lifelike, and it’s easy to spend hours making music.
You can get some free credits for referring friends (and you also get credits if you are referred by someone) but you can only use the best and most recent model (Suno v5) if you subscribe. I will say, however, that Suno’s subscription is one of the most generous I have ever seen. For $10 a month you can create 500 songs, and let me tell you, I struggle to get through all of them because it’s just SO much! A great problem to have.
Still, the models available for free should give you a good enough impression to help you decide if subscribing is worth it for you. If you wanna use my referral link, here it is: https://suno.com/invite/@sorayai — both of us receive 250 free credits if you do.
https://www.udio.com/ — I need to go back and try this one again honestly. I haven’t tried it since it was first released and you could only make 30 second songs. I’ve seen a lot of updates since then and I’m sure it is a lot better than it was when I first tried it, and even then it impressed me because I saw it had so much potential. It looks like they’ve even added a free trial so you can check out premium features with no obligation!
All-in-Ones
Most of the other sites can do a little bit of everything, but this list focuses more on variety and 3rd party sites rather than big names. These are all great in their own ways and I’ll explain why below!
https://fal.ai/explore — When I found this site it was like hitting the motherlode, it has just about anything you can think of and it’s easy to get lost in for several hours just browsing. Not only can you generate on the website itself, but it also has an API for every model so you can connect things to your own projects if you’re a builder.
It does cost credits to generate anything so you may find yourself having to pay to make use of the site; however, I highly suggest following and turning on notifications for them on X at https://x.com/fal because they offer codes for free credits fairly often. I’ve gotten tons of usage out of their platform and I haven’t spent a single cent!
If you join their Discord, you can also get 100 free generations a day on their bot using Wan 2.2 (video) or Flux Krea (image).
https://dreamina.capcut.com/ai-tool/home — I’ve not heard anything much about this website, but it has been invaluable in my projects; it’s a highly underrated site for sure.
I’m not positive if it is a promo or what, but they offer free Nano Banana generations for 0 credits (as of 10/10/25) as well as Seedream (another image editor/generator model).
You also get 120 credits a day which is enough to make a few videos with Seedance for free every day! The Discord community is also friendly.
https://higgsfield.ai/ — This one requires a subscription to use at all, but I was lucky enough to be given a code for a free trial + some credits. Like Fal, there’s a big selection of models here from voice, image, video and other features that are unique to Higgsfield.
The interface is really high quality and easy to navigate, so I am enjoying my experience so far. I suggest following them on X because they give away codes for free credits often (but again, you need to be subscribed to a plan just to generate).
The best models are locked to the $30/month plan but if you’re a content creator and have the money I’d say it’s worth it with all the promos they do and codes they give out.
https://www.lovart.ai/home — I discovered this one recently; it offers a variety of image and video generation tools and gives 100 credits daily.
New Additions/Extras
https://vocalremover.org — This site is great for removing unwanted vocals from AI videos if you generate vocals with Sora or another app and wanna replace them later. Sometimes the site loads up with a . at the end so just delete it or the site won't work.
https://sousaku.ai/ — Another all-in-one site with plenty of video and image generators to offer. Though you have to subscribe for some of the higher end models, the lowest tier is around $10/month, but the offerings even for free accounts aren't terrible. You get the equivalent of 1 free Seedance 5 second video per day in credits or 10 Seedream 4 images. Not bad for free, especially if combined with other freebies on this list!
What makes Sousaku unique in my eyes is that if you're a subscriber, you get access to their special NSFW models (both video and image!) I have yet to subscribe myself, but it's nice to know that this is an option, since I feel it is rare to see on these sites.
For now, this is my list! I’m sure it will grow over time, but it’s tough to keep up with all the new websites popping up left and right these days, much less dedicate the hours to testing them all out and making sure they are up to snuff.
Make sure you follow me on X for the latest AI tools, giveaways and freebies! I try to stay up on things because I’m always looking to save money and try the newest tools because it’s fun! I also do my best to break things down so it’s easy to understand for people just getting into AI.
Above all, I want to show that anyone can use AI to create whatever their heart desires; everyone deserves to find happiness in creativity, and if I can help one person do that then I’m satisfied!
Thanks for reading, and I sincerely hope it will help some of you. If you’ve got any suggestions for websites to add to this list, feel free to let me know and I’ll check it out. If I end up adding it, I’ll be sure to give you a shoutout here as thanks.
Happy creating everyone!
