Vidu Q2: Magic Test

I had a random idea to test Vidu Q2's ability to make videos of various magical spells. Of course I can't do a million of them but this experiment helped me get a general idea of how well Vidu handles these prompts.
For this test, I'll be trying various spells for the elements of Light and Ice.
As a sidenote, I'm using the Vidu Q2 Reference to Video endpoint on Fal.ai, so results may vary on the official platform.

Light magic demo:
Overall it did a great job, but I noticed that at least on Fal words like "slashing" "stabbing" "swinging" etc seemed to trigger a low level censorship filter. "Fighting" worked though!
Struggled a little bit with the battle scenes but I'm going to chalk that up to being so limited on prompts. I will go back and try this out on the main website another time to see if there's a difference in output/censorship.
For the SFX I was testing out Mirelo and Kling. Mirelo seems better overall but it's kind of expensive and Kling isn't bad so I'll stick with that lol.
Ice magic demo:
I liked these, though I'm sure for some I could have gotten better outputs with more generations, but I wanted to try and balance getting a decent output while showing what is hopefully the average experience.
Vidu has really come a long way and I'm always impressed by the model's improvements. It has changed and improved a lot since I made my first music video back in April of this year, so imagine how great it's gonna be next year?
Vidu Q2's reference to video, in my experience, keeps the best character consistency of any video generator. While Grok Imagine and Veo 3.1 are both good at this too, Q2 really stands out for me as a person who creates anime works -- it's definitely the king of anime in my opinion and is 100% worth checking out.
