My Experience with Veo 3

So, if you missed it (hopefully you didn't!) Google offered people 6 free Veo 3 generations over this last weekend.

I was only able to try it out on Sunday so I was scrambling to make some images for scenes I wanted to see as videos.

Anyway, while some videos had the usual AI-isms (extra fingers or other wonky stuff) my overall impression was very good! There were a couple videos I really loved (I'll share one at the end of the blog!) but I think the biggest surprise for me was the audio.

The audio that was generated with the videos really took them to a new level; not only could it generate sounds, but also music and probably voice-over, though I did not try for voice.

I really like Veo 3 and it's easy to see why it's a contender for the best video generation model today. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd definitely be paying to use it more often. But, for a hobbyist like me who doesn't have a lot of extra funds, I'll be waiting for the prices to go down before I consider dropping some cash.

That being said, I think if you can afford it and love generating AI videos, Veo 3 is definitely worth checking out - or you can be like me and wait for prices to drop!

I was just so excited with how well this one came out, though I wanted him to look directly at the camera and he's more looking to the side - but stlll, very cool all around!

If we're lucky, maybe Google will bless us with another Veo 3 trial for Christmas.
