VIDU - Video Generation

I feel like VIDU is an underrated video generation service, usually overshadowed by KLING and others. However, I've used VIDU for a couple little projects and I can say that it's pretty cool.

Every day, you get 20 free credits, so you can make a few (albeit lower quality) videos without paying a cent. They also offer some free trials so you can get an idea of what kind of value you'd get out of a subscription.

I'm still figuring out the prompting, but here are some examples of videos I've made!

I made this one for a contest which I will talk about in another blog post soon. It was a learning experience since I did a start frame and end frame. It could absolutely be better because I didn't take into account that I should try to make the flowers move in the end frame. I decided to chalk it up to a learning experience and move onto my next entry.

This was a longer project I made a couple months ago. Learned a lot! A bit of editing was done in Clipchamp, but it's 99% VIDU. Honestly, I was pretty impressed! I got all of this done with my free credits in about a week or 2.

Just something simple and cute. My OC chilling outside at a lotus pond, showing off some magic. I left this one on "Auto" with an empty prompt to see how VIDU would make it, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and animation.

Note that I always use the IMG2VID function with images generated on my own machine in Stable Diffusion. I've not really played around with TXT2IMG because my creations usually involve OCs or game characters.

They also just released their newest model, Q1, which is natively 1080p. VIDU is also generous enough to give everyone 3 free trial videos with it!
